A Vision for Broomfield
Transparency | Integrity | Change
The priority of the City Council is to set policy and priorities for our community, and they have failed.
Fiscal Discipline | Sustainable Growth | Community Service

Under the current council leadership, your tax dollars have been poorly managed. As your next Mayor, I will champion policies that promote fiscal discipline, business development, and affordable living through tax relief and transparency. Together, we can ensure Broomfield remains a vibrant, thriving place for our children, parents, and future generations. This campaign is about restoring faith in local government and returning power to Broomfield citizens.
Affordable Living
Property taxes are up 30% with very little to show for it. As your Mayor, I will advocate to combat the rising cost of living through more disciplined spending and property tax reform to reduce the undue burden on homeowners. Auditing utility rate structures will bring transparency and accountability to Broomfield and may help to reduce additional burdens through waste reduction.
Strategic Growth
There is not much local municipalities can do about out-of-control state government spending and regulations. I will seek partnerships with neighboring municipalities to increase more favorable lobbying efforts that include more responsible legislation. I will ask staff for a strategic business development plan while preserving Broomfield's open space and aesthetic appeal. We need to unlock commercial and housing development in Broomfield that mirrors strategies from cities grappling with projected 2025 demands.

Welcoming City
Broomfield can remain a welcoming city without risking the safety and security of our constituents and first responders. We must stop the use of tax dollars to usher in undocumented criminal illegal aliens, especially given Broomfield's proximity to I-70 and I-25, two of the largest drug and human trafficking corridors in the nation.

Water Rates
Water rates have soared 77% since 2023 due to years of inaction and neglect. Worse, they are on track for annual increases for the foreseeable future. We need to clean up the disastrous water tank project that has lost millions of tax dollars due to the Council's inability to make timely decisions.

First Bank Center
We have a $20 million pile of rubble where a so-called Event Center is supposed to be, with no clear plan or accountability. We need to know what happened so it never happens again.

Eagle Trace Golf Course
This community treasure is at risk due to a lack of oversight and care. We must partner to protect it and preserve home values in this neighborhood.

Single Hauler Trash
The decision of the current council to move to a single-hauler trash and recycling system is a classic example of government overreach. This restricts freedom of choice and competition, leaving residents on the hook to pay higher rates and receive poor service. The imposition of an opt-out fee is a stab in the back by the Council upon its constituents. The survey and outreach conducted did not adequately represent the diverse opinions of residents. The decision-making process lacked transparency and inclusion. As your next Mayor, I will advocate for choice and inclusion.
Jefferson Airport
We must partner with local airport officials and state legislature to leverage all means necessary to preserve air quality through responsible air traffic control and air traffic noise reduction..

Transportation
RTD has collected approximately $4 billion in FasTracks sales tax revenue from taxpayers across the Denver metro area since 2005—this includes residents of Broomfield County. The planned Northwest Rail line, which would have connected Denver through Westminster and Broomfield up to Longmont, has not been constructed. The only segment completed to date is the 6.2 B Line to Westminster, which does not reach Broomfield. There is a major service gap with limited RTD service north of 120th Ave and east of 287. We should not be investing in RTD until we start seeing returns in Broomfield.

Transparent Leadership
I promise to promote ethical and accountable governance through open-data platforms, citizen budget participation, and contract audits. Emphasizing real-time community engagement via town halls, digital outreach, and citizen-budgeting workshops will help rebuild community trust. Under Kim's leadership, Broomfield will publish, explain, and justify every major decision.
